Gert Driesen & Tao Xu

GERT: Gert Driesen is a Dutch entrepreneur, UK property investor, and MRE candidate at TIAS Business School. After building a successful supermarket business in the Netherlands and pioneering a self-managing team approach, he turned his focus to UK residential property investment. Through his involvement with Property Investors Network and the UK property community, he combines practical investment experience with a strong interest in leadership, culture, and international collaboration. Alongside his investment activities, Gert is researching how cultural differences influence collaboration between international investors and UK property professionals. He is passionate about sharing knowledge, building trusted relationships, and helping overseas investors better understand the UK property market. When he is not working on property projects, Gert can often be found on the golf course, where he is enthusiastically learning the game as a beginner. _______________________________________________ _______________________________________________ TAO: Tao Xu has a background in financial risk data analysis from his time in banking and is now focused on property investment. He started out with HMOs in Amsterdam and England and has since moved towards the long-term ownership and management of blocks of flats. Tao enjoys analysing deals and connecting with other investors and professionals across the UK and the Netherlands. Outside property, he is a father to an 11-year-old son and enjoys travelling, dance music, and meeting people through the property community.
