Lauren Harriss

After becoming a Landlord at 22, Lauren has since gone on to have a career within Property in various forms, which started with becoming a Commercial Business Development manager at 26. Responsible for winning and negotiating commercial leases with Landlords for retail spaces within hospitals and airports for WHSmith, M&S & Costa stores. Accountable for a £3m annual budget and responsible for all due diligence, financials, lease negotiations, with coordinating & overseeing the fitouts of multi-million-pound projects from concept, right through to completion. In 2021 Lauren co-founded Tate & Harriss, a successful Property Recruitment business, building an extensive network of estate agents and property professionals across the UK. Alongside this, her husband owns HS Renovations & Maintenance, where he has become a popular tradesman for local Estate Agents, landlords and homeowners covering everything from small maintenance right through to large scale, back-to-brick renovation projects. Together, they also renovated their own family home. Over the past few years, she has focused on building her presence in the investment space, expanding her knowledge through significant investment in her education and gaining a little hands-on experience in sourcing. Now, the focus is on delivering title-split opportunities across North Essex/ East Herts, to build up their BTL portfolio. Outside of business, she’s a busy mum of two little ones & Boycie the cocker spaniel, often found with a nice cold glass of sauvignon blanc in hand!
